DOLOMITISCH Topographic Furniture

Discovered in Milan. Cut for Valais.

Mountain ranges cut into solid wood, commissioned to any range you choose. We represent Dolomitisch in Switzerland. On view at our studio in Le Châble: a Valais wall map and a mirror piece. From October.

The pieces

Dolomitisch make topographic furniture: real mountain ranges cut into solid wood, finished with metal. The process starts with satellite survey data and ends by hand - CNC does the terrain, people do everything after it.

Every piece is made in Bozen, in South Tyrol, from wood on a short certified supply chain, and every commission funds replanting in the Dolomites forests. Subject, material, finish, shape and size are open. Nothing is off the shelf.

Valais range

Our first commission with Dolomitisch: a round wall map in maple, 115 cm across, cut to the Valais range. Depth is set on order confirmation.

A second piece hangs in our studio in Le Châble with the finish palette and a relief sample. You're welcome to come by and see it properly, or come by and window shop.

The makers

Dolomitisch work out of Bozen, in the Italian Dolomites. They're represented by Rossana Orlandi in Milan - which is where we found them.

Interior22 represents them in Switzerland. Every commission here comes through this studio.

Commission a range

Every piece is made to order, so it starts with a conversation. Tell us which mountains and roughly what you're imagining - we'll talk it through, come back with a drawing, and price it from there.
